CONTEST OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS
IMPERIAL OIL MOBIL 1™ “Mobil 1 Dream Drive Giveaway”
Imperial Oil’s “Mobil 1 Dream Drive Giveaway” Contest (the “Contest”) starts on April 1, 2024 at 12:00:01 AM Central Time (“CT”) and closes on August 31, 2024 at 11:59:59 PM CT (the “Contest Period”). The Contest Sponsor is Imperial Oil (the “Sponsor”). The Contest is being administered by Arrowhead Promotion and Fulfillment, which will be conducting the various draws as an independent judging organization (“Arrowhead”). Arrowhead is located at 1105 SE 8th St, Grand Rapids, MN 55744, United States.
The Contest Period will be broken out into a Grand Prize period which will coincide with the Contest Period; and five (5) separate First and Second Prize periods which will run each month during the Contest Period as follows (each, a “Monthly Entry Period”):

(1) Grand Prize winner
Eligibility: To enter and to be eligible to win, aperson must be a resident of Canada and the legal age of majority in their province or territory of residence.
Employees, officers, and directors [including their immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and members of their same household, whether or not related] of the Sponsor, and each of their respective parents, affiliated companies, subsidiaries, licensees, distributors, dealers, retailers, printers, advertising and promotion agencies, employees or officials of any government, or government-owned or government-controlled entity, that has regulatory authority over Imperial Oil Limited or any of its affiliates and any and all other companies associated with the Contest are not eligible to participate or win a Prize (as defined below).
  1. A “Contest Entrant” is an eligible person who has entered the Contest as described in Sections 4.
  2. Contest overview: The Contest is composed of one (1) grand prize draw and 150 monthly prizes.
  3. How to enter the Contest: During the Contest Period, eligible participants may enter in either of the two (2) following ways:
    1. ENTRY WITH PURCHASE AT RETAIL LOCATION: To enter via this method of entry, during the Contest Period you must:
      • purchase a Mobil 1 oil change at your local Canadian dealership or eligible Canadian Mobil 1 Oil Change Facility, OR
      • purchase any 4.73L or more of Mobil 1™ Classic, Mobil 1™ Advanced Fuel Economy, Mobil 1™ High Mileage, Mobil 1™ Extended Performance, Mobil 1™ Extended Performance High Mileage, Mobil 1™ Truck & SUV, or Mobil 1™ ESP motor oil (collectively referred to as “Eligible Product”) at a participating auto store in Canada (a “Qualifying Purchase”).
      Then, visit mobil1promotion.com (the “Website”) during the Contest Period to complete and submit an official entry form, including uploading a copy of your in-store or online receipt, showing your Qualifying Purchase made during the Contest Period, to receive one (1) entry in the Contest. Once the entry form and photo of your Qualifying Purchase is received and verified, participant will be eligible to receive one (1) entry. The entry will be allocated to the monthly drawing based on the date the entry is received.
      Mr. Lube customers, meeting all Contest Rules including submitting a valid receipt (Mobil 1 oil change in the Contest Period), may also enter the Contest through Mr.Lube’s summer contest website.
      IMPORTANT NOTE: Please retain the original receipt for your records. All receipts submitted are subject to verification in the sole and absolute discretion of Sponsor. Any receipt and/or other materials that cannot be verified to the complete satisfaction of Sponsor, in its sole discretion, is/are subject to immediate disqualification.
      For purposes of this Contest, “receipt” of an entry occurs when Sponsor/Administrator’s server records the entry information resulting from the participant selecting the “SUBMIT” button. Automated entries (including but not limited to entries submitted using any robot, script, macro, or other automated service) are not permitted and will be disqualified.
    2. FREE METHOD OF ENTRY: You may enter the Contest and receive one (1) entry into the Contest drawing by hand-printing your full name, address, city, province/territory and postal code, day and evening telephone numbers (including area codes), and email address on a piece of paper and mailing it in a sealed envelope with proper postage affixed to: Dream Drive Giveaway PO Box number 10668 Thunder Bay Stn CSC On P7B 6V1. Sponsor will use email addresses provided via the Mail-in entry method for prize notification purposes only; however, eligibility to participate in the Contest is not dependent upon the participant's provision of this information. Mail-in entries must be postmarked by August 31, 2024, and received by September 12, 2024, to be eligible. Mail-in entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned. Sponsor is not responsible for late, lost, damaged, incomplete, misdirected, or illegible entries. Once the Mail-in Entry is received and verified, the Participant will be eligible receive one (1) entry. The entry will be allocated to the monthly drawing based on the date the entry is received.
LIMIT: There is a limit of three (3) Entries per person/household during the entire Contest Period, regardless of the method of entry. Multiple entries in excess of the limit will be void. Once submitted, an entry cannot be deleted, canceled, or modified. All entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to void any and all entries of a Participant that submits more than the stated limit of permitted entries (regardless of the method of entry), or who the Sponsor believes has attempted to tamper with, influence, or impair the administration, security, fairness, or proper play of this Giveaway.
The awarding of the prizes:
All dollar amounts contained in these Contest Rules are denominated in Canadian dollars.
Grand prize: There is one (1) grand prize available to be won with an approximate retail value of $56,870-$65,770 consisting of a 2024 Chevrolet Traverse (Either RS or Z71 models).
IMPORTANT NOTE: THE APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE OF THE GRAND PRIZE NOTED ABOVE IS CURRENT AS OF FEBRUARY 2024. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WHATSOEVER WILL ANY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE ACTUAL RETAIL VALUE OF THE GRAND PRIZE AS AT THE TIME OF FULFILMENT AND THE APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE OF THE GRAND PRIZE NOTED ABOVE BE AWARDED. FOR THE AVOIDANCE OF ANY DOUBT, THE GRAND PRIZE CONSISTS OF THE AUTOMOBILE AND NOT THE ACTUAL VALUE OF THE AUTOMOBILE.
Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the following general conditions apply to the Grand Prize: (i) Grand Prize must be accepted as awarded and is not transferable, assignable and/or or convertible to cash (except as may be specifically permitted by Sponsor in its sole discretion); (ii) no substitutions are permitted, except at Sponsor’s option; (iii) redemption of the Grand Prize must occur within and/or on or before the date or dates specified by the Sponsor (otherwise the Prize may, in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor, be forfeited in its entirety and, if forfeited, nothing will be substituted in its place); (iv) the costs of everything not specifically and expressly stated above as included in the Grand Prize are the sole and absolute responsibility of the confirmed winner; (v) if the confirmed winner does not utilize any part(s) of the Grand Prize, then any such part(s) not utilized may, in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor, be forfeited in their entirety and, if forfeited, nothing will be substituted in their place; (vi) Sponsor reserves the right at any time to: (a) place reasonable restrictions on the availability or use of the Grand Prize or any component thereof; and (b) substitute the Grand Prize or a component thereof for any reason with a prize or prize component(s) of equal or greater retail value, including, without limitation, but solely at the Sponsor’s sole discretion, a cash award; (vii) Grand Prize will not be released unless and until the confirmed Prize winner first shows proof (in a form acceptable to the Sponsor) of having a valid driver’s licence (equivalent to at least a “G2” class licence in Ontario) in the province/territory in which they reside and proof (in a form acceptable to the Sponsor) of satisfactory insurance; (viii) by accepting the Grand Prize, the confirmed winner agrees to waive all recourse against the Sponsor and all of the other Released Parties if the Grand Prize or a component thereof does not prove satisfactory, either in whole or in part; and (ix) in the event that the eligible Grand Prize winner does not have a valid driver’s licence or that Grand Prize claimant is not legally eligible to operate a vehicle, the eligible Grand Prize winner may be permitted to transfer the Grand Prize to their spouse, parent, sibling, child or legal guardian who meets the necessary requirements as specified in these Contest Rules.
The Sponsor and the other Released Parties are not responsible for any delay or postponement, for any reason, of any aspect of the Grand Prize. Neither the confirmed winner nor any other person or entity will be compensated in the event of such delay or postponement.
The declared winner must claim the grand prize within five (5) days of notification by phone (phone number provided at the time of registration). The confirmed winner must provide personal identification in a form acceptable to the Sponsor. The Grand Prize will not be released unless the declared winner first shows valid identification. The Sponsor reserves the right to deliver the prize in person to the confirmed Grand Prize winner in a formal ceremony, if desired, provided this is at the declared winner’s convenience.
The random draw for the grand prize will be held at approximately 1:30 PM CT on September 12, 2024 by Arrowhead at its place of business specified above from all valid entries received for the Grand Prize.
On or about each Drawing Date set forth in the Monthly Drawing Chart found above in these Contest Rules, the specific number of First Prize and Second Prize winners (“First Prize Winner” and “Second Prize Winner”) as listed in the Chart will be selected from that month’s entries by a random drawing that will be conducted by Administrator. Fifty (50) First Prize Winners will each be eligible to receive Mobil 1 for a Year (made up of 3 x 4.73L Mobil 1 products of winner’s choice, as available in retail in Canada). Approximate Retail Value of each First Prize is $180 CAD. One hundred (100) Second Prize Winners will each receive $50 Esso/Mobil Fuel gift card (use of the gift card is subject to the terms and conditions of the issuer). Approximate Retail Value of each Second Prize is $50.00. The Grand Prize Winner, First Prize Winners and Second Prize Winners are collectively hereinafter referred to as “Winners”.
Before being declared a confirmed prize winner, each potential winner must (a) first correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question, without mechanical or other aid; (b) sign and return within ten (10) business days of being notified, the Sponsor’s form of release (the “Release”), which (among other things): (i) acknowledges and agrees to the publication, reproduction and/or other use of the winner’s name, city and province/territory of residence, voice, statements about the Contest and/or photograph or other likeness without further notice or compensation, in any publicity or advertisement carried out by or on behalf of the Sponsor in any manner whatsoever, including print, broadcast or the internet; (ii) confirms understanding, acceptance and compliance with these Contest Rules; (iii) confirms acceptance of the Grand Prize as awarded, and (iv) releases the Sponsor, and any and all of its subsidiaries, affiliates, divisions, advertising or promotional agencies, prize providers, administrators, employees, agents, representatives and participating oil service providers, as well as Arrowhead (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all liability in connection with this Contest, their participation therein and/or the awarding and use/misuse of a prize or any portion thereof.
Attempts will be made to contact the eligible winning entrants as indicated above within five (5) days following the respective draw dates to provide instructions on how to claim their prize, including details on the administration of the skill-testing question and the Release, and the winning entrants must be able to be reached within five (5) days of the first attempt to make contact with them. In the event that a selected eligible winner does not correctly answer the mathematical skill-testing question within the time limit, does not sign and return the Release within the specified time, cannot accept the prize for any reason or does not otherwise comply with the Contest Rules, the Sponsor shall have the right to disqualify that selected Contest Entrant, in which case they will not receive any prize and shall forfeit all rights to the prize, and the Sponsor and all of the other Released Parties shall be fully and completely released and discharged from any liability or responsibility in this regard. In such event, the Sponsor may, at its sole discretion, randomly select an alternative entry from the remaining eligible entries and proceed with the selected winner notification and qualification procedure outlined above (in which case the foregoing provisions of this section shall apply to such new selected Contest Entrant), or the Sponsor may, at its sole discretion, elect not to award the applicable prize in this part of the Contest.
Odds of winning: The odds of being selected as the grand prize winner in the grand prize draw will depend on the total number of eligible entries received for the draw during the Contest Period. The odds of being selected as First Prize or Second Prize winner will depend on the number of entries received during the month applicable to the draw.
Each prize must be accepted as awarded and is not transferable or convertible to cash. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute a prize, in whole or in part, for a prize of equal or greater value, for any reason including due to any component of the prize being unavailable or for any circumstances beyond its control. The refusal by a Contest Entrant to accept any prize or part of the prize releases and forever discharges the Sponsor and all of the other Released Parties from all obligations related to the prize, including delivery.
Sponsor and the other Released Parties do not assume any responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information, technical malfunctions, human or technical error, seeding or printing errors, lost, delayed or garbled data or any combination thereof, including any damage to a Contest Entrant’s or any other person’s computer or other device and to any cellular phone or other property related to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials relating to this Contest. For greater certainty, the Sponsor and the other Released Parties are not responsible if the telephone number given by a Contest Entrant is incorrect, disconnected or no longer in service. Entry materials/data that have been tampered with or altered are void. If, for any reason, in the opinion of the Sponsor, the administration, security, fairness, integrity or the proper conduct of the Contest is corrupted or adversely affected, including by reason of tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond its control, the Sponsor, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest (or to amend these Contest Rules) without notice. The Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of these Contest Rules or otherwise in a disruptive manner, as determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion. The Contest Rules are subject to change at the discretion of the Contest Sponsor without notice to Contest Entrants individually.
All entries are subject to verification at any time. The sole determinant of time for the purposes of valid entry in this Contest will be the Contest server(s).
Online entries must be made by the original, manual keystrokes of the individual Contest Entrant. Use of mechanical assistance, form filling software or robotic assistance is prohibited. Online entries generated by script, macro, robotic, programming or any other automated means are prohibited and will be disqualified. Sponsor and the other Released Parties assume no responsibility for lost, late, delayed, destroyed or misdirected mail. No correspondence will be entered into except with selected Contest Entrant(s) or as stated in the Contest Rules, or Contest Entrants requesting a copy of the Contest Rules.
By entering the Contest, all Contest Entrants consent to the collection, use and disclosure of their personal information by the Sponsor solely for the purpose of running the Contest and the awarding of the prizes, and that such personal information will not be sold or shared with any other third parties. All personal information collected will be securely stored on a server in the United States. By entering the Contest, Contest Entrants automatically agree to accept and abide by these Contest Rules. All decisions of the Sponsor with respect to any aspect of this Contest, including without limitation the eligibility of entries, are final and binding on all Contest Entrants in all matters as they relate to this Contest. This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and is void where prohibited. Except if prohibited by law, all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Contest Rules, or the rights and obligations of Contest Entrants and Contest Sponsor in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the substantive laws of the Province of Alberta without regard to any conflict of law issues. Except if prohibited by law, all Contest Entrants consent irrevocably to the jurisdiction and venue of the courts of the Province of Alberta.
